KIH XDS Repository
The KIH XDS Repository (KIH) is part the national infrastructure for data sharing. Its purpose is to share and proovide an overview of relevant data throughout the course of treatment across actors in the health care system in an effective and secure manner.
The national infrastructure is based on the IHE XDS standard, with a shared national registry containing information on and pointers to clinical data on patients in different repositories.
KIH is one of these repositories and contribute to the national infrastructure by collecting and sharing home monitoring data and patient-reported questionnaire data.
The background for the establishment of KIH is that many home monitoring and patient-reported outcomes (PRO) systems are standalone solutions with their own databases, and often their own portals for displaying data.
KIH facilitates standardised access to sharing this information via the Document-sharing service on the National Service Platform, with the aim of displaying it in local systems (e.g., GP systems and EHRs), regardless of the data structure of the system source.
