Joint system management

The responsibility for the operation of the Danish common IT infrastructures within the healthcare sector lies with MedCom. Furthermore, MedCom is solving tasks for the shared national public systems, which is owned by the Regions’ Health IT or the Danish Health Data Authority.

The task as system administrator involves decision processes, cooperation with vendors and security concerning IT and information. Among other things, the system administration is to ensure:

• That a responsible system administrator is pointed out
• That business management and user groups are established
• That the cooperation with vendors is efficient and well-documented
• That development tasks are prioritised and completed

That relevant supplies of operation, maintenance and further development tasks are timely prepared and completed.
